RICHARD GERE
Richard Gere started appearing in films in the 1970s, playing a starring role in Days of Heaven and a supporting part in Looking for Mr. Goodbar. He came to prominence after he landed a role in American Gigolo, a movie that established him as a Hollywood leading man. Gere has gone on to star in countless films, including Pretty Woman, Primal Fear, and Runaway Bride, which are all blockbusters. For starring as Billy Flynn in the musical hit Chicago, the actor earned a Golden Globe Award.
Aside from his work in the entertainment industry, Gere serves as an advocate for human rights in Dharamshala, the known headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile. He is also the co-founder of the Tibet House US and the creator of the Gere Foundation. Now 72 years old, Gere continues to make investments in the acting industry and appears both on the big and small screens.
