PHOEBE CATES
Phoebe Cates started her entertainment career at the tender age of 10 as a model. She then pursued acting and made her movie, Paradise, in 1982 when she was 19 years old. However, it was in the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High that the now-58-year-old star started to make a name. Compared to filming her debut film, she had fun doing this coming-of-age comedy-drama that took her career to another height.
She made movies after movies and even became part of some iconic ones, like Steven Spielberg’s Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Come 1984, Cates joined Broadway and said she liked to do theatre the most. Despite that, she continued to do movies throughout the 1990s but focused on being a mother after having two kids. She then used her investment money to open a boutique of her own called Blue Tree on Madison Avenue in New York in 2005.
