Floyd Mayweather is the richest boxer of all time. His career earnings already totaled more than $1.1 billion, making him one of the six athletes whose career earnings have surpassed $1 billion. He is also the fifth highest-paid athlete, despite only having a few endorsement deals compared to some of the famed athletes of today. How did he do it?

Mayweather made more than $500 million from just two fights: $250 million from his fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015 and $300 million from his fight against Conor McGregor in 2017. With that, the boxer could easily make $150 to $300 million a year in a fight. Outside of the ring, he could earn $10 million from endorsement deals. Though it was little compared to other athletes, it was relatively big for some. These have all contributed to Mayweather’s $450 million net worth, which he mostly uses to make several investments.
